Ocracoke is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated town located at the southern end of Ocracoke Island, located entirely within Hyde County, North Carolina. On the 8th (Mon), kick back and relax at Ocracoke Lifeguarded Beach, then get engrossed in the history at Ocracoke Preservation Museum, then shop like a local with Over the Moon, and finally stroll the grounds of British Cemetery. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Springers Point, then enjoy the sea views from Ocracoke Lighthouse, then look for gifts at Books to Be Red, and finally stroll through Ocracoke Beach Fires.

Manteo is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, United States, located on Roanoke Island. Venture out of the city with trips to Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site & Museum (in Rodanthe) and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (in Buxton). There's lots more to do: meet the residents at North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, take a leisurely stroll along Jennette's Pier, sample the fine beverages at Outer Banks Distilling, and visit a coastal fixture at Bodie Island Lighthouse.
