Established at the confluence of the Rahue and Damas Rivers, the city of Osorno represents one of the main agricultural centers of the region and possesses an interesting history of immigration, growth, and change.
Explore Osorno's surroundings by going to Valdivia (Mercado Fluvial de Valdivia, Jardin Botanico de la Universidad Austral de Chile, & more) and Fuerte de Niebla (in Niebla). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral San Mateo, browse the fresh offerings at Mercado Central de Osorno, admire the sheer force of Salto de la Olla, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

In January, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) so you can travel back home.
