Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its superlative natural wonders and easygoing atmosphere.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Thu): indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas. On the 21st (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stop by Himalayan Threads Handicrafts Shop, explore the activities along Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake), then glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Barahi temple.

Dhaka City, Bangladesh to Pokhara is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus, car, and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 0.2 hours traveling from Dhaka City to Pokhara. In May in Pokhara, expect temperatures between 35°C during the day and 22°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Fri) early enough to travel to Kathmandu.

Once synonymous with the mysterious and inaccessible Shangri-La, today Kathmandu draws an ever-increasing number of tourists, catering to independent travelers of various budgets.
Step out of Kathmandu with an excursion to Siddhi Lakshmi Temple in Bhaktapur--about 38 minutes away. Make the 27th (Thu) a memorable day with a climbing tour. Traveling by combination of flight and car from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect slightly colder evenings in Kathmandu when traveling from Pokhara in May, with lows around 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
