Located just 80 km (50 mi) north of San Francisco, Napa sits at the southern end of the scenic Napa Valley, one of the world's major wine regions.
For shopping fun, head to Oxbow Public Market or Oakville Grocery. Take a break from the city and head to Balloon Rides and Old Faithful Geyser of California. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Napa: St. Helena (Beringer Vineyards & Pride Mountain Vineyards) and Calistoga (Castello di Amorosa & Schramsberg Vineyards). Dedicate the 14th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. Next up on the itinerary: do a tasting at Domaine Carneros, take in the exciting artwork at Mumm Napa, and admire the masterpieces at The Hess Collection Winery & Art Museum.

Boston to Napa is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus.
