Located near the memorial park marking the site of one of the largest Civil War battles, the town of Gettysburg sits in a landscape of rolling green hills with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Sat): witness the site of a historic battle at Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, explore and take pictures at Gettysburg National Military Park, and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Gettysburg National Cemetery. Founded in 1632 as a fortified settlement on the high ground between two rivers, Williamsburg served as a colonial capital of Virginia for over 80 years.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Mon): contemplate the long history of Historic Jamestowne and then revel in the low prices at Williamsburg Outlet Mall. On the 15th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some serene contemplation at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, contemplate the long history of Governor's Palace, then contemplate the long history of Jamestown Settlement, and finally stop by R.P. One of the country's favorite vacation resorts, Ocean City draws nearly 8 million visitors annually with its oceanfront boardwalk, clean beaches, and amusement parks.
You've now added Surfside Golf to your itinerary. Take a break from the city and head to Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links and Bethany Beach Nature Center.
