The political capital of Martinique, Fort-de-France has a thriving commercial center and a number of historic sites.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fort-de-France: Presqu'ile de la Caravelle (in Tartane), Les Anses d'Arlet (Anse Dufour, Scuba & Snorkeling, & more) and Zoo de Martinique - Habitation Latouche (in Le Carbet).
