La Baule-Escoublac, commonly referred to as La Baule, is a commune in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France.A century-old seaside resort in southern Brittany with beautiful villas, casino, luxury hotels and an original mix of old Breton and exclusive seaside culture with a 12 kilometer-long sand beach, La Baule has long been home to French high society's seaside residences. Go for a jaunt from La-Baule-Escoublac to Pornic to see Sentier des Douaniers about 40 minutes away. There's still lots to do: head outdoors with Manege des Platanes, wander the streets of Cite Medievale de Guerande, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Ocearium du Croisic, and find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.
