Lancaster is a city and the county town of Lancashire, England. Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): contemplate the long history of Lancaster Castle, then learn about all things military at Lancaster Maritime Museum, then walk around Happy Mount Park, and finally stroll through Trough of Bowland.

Kendal to Lancaster is an approximately half hour train ride. You can also drive; or take a bus. In June in Lancaster, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 12°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Mon) so you can catch the train to Kendal.

Kendal, anciently known as Kirkby in Kendal or Kirkby Kendal, is a market town and civil parish within the South Lakeland District of Cumbria, England. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kendal: Grasmere (Grasmere Chocolate Cottage & The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop), Grizedale Forest (in Hawkshead) and The Lake District Wildlife Park (in Bassenthwaite).
