Reykjavik, the world's most northerly capital, effortlessly combines small-town charm with heaps of big city energy.
Venture out of the city with trips to Grindavik (Brimketill & Thermal Spas) and Thingvellir National Park (in Thingvellir). Spend the 29th (Tue) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.
