A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Family-friendly places like Otaru Canal and Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus will thrill your kids. Change things up with a short trip to Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery in Yoichi-cho (about 1h 20 min away). And it doesn't end there: stroll around Odori Park, take some stellar pictures from Sapporo TV Tower, ponder the world of politics at Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, and take in the awesome beauty at Mt.
