Famous for its Daruma dolls, Takasaki serves as a great stopover town during a trip through Japan.
Get out of town with these interesting Takasaki side-trips: Shibukawa (Ikaho Shrine, Ikaho Stone Steps, &more), Ashikaga Flower Park (in Ashikaga) and Tomioka (Tomioka Silk Mill, Gunma Safari Park, &more). There's much more to do: explore the activities along Lake Haruna, hike along Apt Street, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Takasakibyakue Daikannon, and see the interesting displays at Konnyaku Park.

Plan my trip to Takasaki with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

Tokyo to Takasaki is an approximately 2-hour car ride. In April in Takasaki, expect temperatures between °C during the day and °C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sat) so you can drive to Minakami-machi.
