Featuring the largest archeological site of the ancient Mayan civilization, Chichen Itza remains one of the most visited tourist destinations in Mexico.
Venture out of the city with trips to Izamal (Convento de San Antonio de Padua, Izamal Ruins, &more), Cenotes Cuzama (in Cuzama) and Homun (Santa Barbara Cenotes & Restaurant & Cenote San Antonio). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Cenote Ik kil, delve into the distant past at La Iglesia, explore the fascinating underground world of Balankanche Cave, and steep yourself in history at Chichen Itza.
