Sandusky positively bustles in the summertime due to its famed amusement park.
Kids will enjoy Cedar Point and Indian Creek Zoo. Get out of town with these interesting Sandusky side-trips: Bennett's Orchard (in Ottawa Lake), Toledo Zoo (in Toledo) and The Norma Stark Memory Garden and Labyrinth (in Perrysburg). There's much more to do: get to know the resident critters at African Safari Wildlife Park, contemplate the long history of Eleutheros Cooke House and Garden, tour the pleasant surroundings at Back to the Wild, and visit a coastal fixture at Port Clinton Lighthouse.
