Cuba's capital and major commercial center, Havana manages to be very old and very modern at the same time.
Step off the beaten path and head to Finca Vigía and Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabana. Visit Malecón of Havana and Castillo de la Real Fuerza for their historical value. Step out of Havana to go to Cayo Largo and see Playa Paraiso, which is approximately 2 hours away. There's still lots to do: admire the landmark architecture of Havana Cathedral, make a trip to Plaza de Armas, wander the streets of Fusterlandia, and contemplate the long history of Plaza de San Francisco.

Atlanta, USA to Havana is an approximately 5-hour flight. In May, Havana is somewhat warmer than Atlanta - with highs of 87°F and lows of 69°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Tue) so you can travel to Santo Domingo.

On the 27th (Wed), appreciate the extensive heritage of Calle de Las Damas, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Catedral Primada de America, then step into the grandiose world of Alcazar de Colon, and finally explore the ancient world of Monasterio de San Francisco. On the next day, appreciate the history behind Columbus Lighthouse (Faro A Colon) and then don't miss a visit to Zona Colonial.
