Founded over 2,000 years ago, Vannes is a vacation harbor town with beaches, shopping, museums, and gardens, as well as interesting medieval city gates and timber-framed houses scattered throughout its Old Town.

Cathedrale Saint Pierre and Basilique Notre Dame du Roncier are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's still lots to do: stop by Place Henri IV, kick back and relax at Club Nautique de Damgan, and admire the natural beauty at Jardin aux papillons.
