Le Frasnois

Le Frasnois is a commune in the Jura department in Franche-Comté in eastern France. On the 2nd (Sat), get outside with La Cascade de la Billaude. Start off your visit on the 4th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Horloge Astronomique De la Cathedrale, then admire the landmark architecture of La Citadelle de Besancon, and then don't miss a visit to Porte Noire.

Traveling by car from Le Frasnois to Besancon takes 1.5 hours. In April, daytime highs in Besancon are 19°C, while nighttime lows are 7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Mon) so you can go by car to Dijon.

Perhaps best known for its locally produced mustard, Dijon also makes a wonderfully flavorful crème de cassis, or blackcurrant liqueur, and boasts excellent examples of regional architecture with polychrome roofs made of tiles in terracotta, green, yellow, and black placed in geometric patterns.
On the 5th (Tue), make a trip to Place de la Liberation, see the interesting displays at Musee Magnin, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Paroisse Notre-Dame De Dijon, then trek along Owl's Trail, and finally steep yourself in history at Cathedrale Saint-Benigne de Dijon. On the 6th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Le Cassissium, explore the historical opulence of Chateau de Savigny-les-Beaune, then look for gifts at Athenaeum, then examine the collection at Hôtel-Dieu Museum Musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Collegiale Notre Dame.

Vezelay

Vézelay is a commune in the Yonne department in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in north-central France. Explore Vezelay's surroundings by going to Guédelon (in Treigny), Moulin de Vanneau (in Saints-en-Puisaye) and Chablis Vititours (in Chablis). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Chateau Ancy-le Franc, stop by Yazmhil Et Brice Corman, Maroquiniers Createurs, don't miss a visit to Centre Pour Les Arts la Porte Peinte, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilique Sainte Madeleine.
