Land of the Sky

Asheville nestles between two major mountain ranges in the scenic western section of North Carolina.
Biltmore has been added to your itinerary. Bring the kids along to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and The Island in Pigeon Forge. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Asheville: Gatlinburg (7D Dark Ride Adventure & Fowler's Clay Works), Pigeon Forge (Parrot Mountain & Gardens, Rocky Top Mountain Coaster, &more) and Zipline (in Sevierville). There's lots more to do: take a memorable tour with Tumblestone Tours and Transportation, get to know the resident critters at Western North Carolina Nature Center, get thoroughly spooked out with a ghost and vampire tour, and let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour.

To find reviews, ratings, maps, and more tourist information, go to the Asheville journey planner.

Expect a daytime high around 58°F in March, and nighttime lows around 36°F.
