Offering both sandy beaches packed with modern amenities and a historical town center filled with Roman ruins and Ottoman mosques, Antalya serves as one of the country's major tourist destinations.
Antalya Muzesi and Sandland will appeal to museum buffs. Head to TerraCity and Balon Parkfor plenty of shopping. Change things up with these side-trips from Antalya: Gulluk Dagi (Termessos) Milli Parki (in Korkuteli), Side (Temple of Apollo, Side Museum, &more) and Kleopatra Beach (in Alanya). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Kaleici, stop by Lidya Suzani Carpet Gallery, take in the dramatic scenery at Lower Duden Waterfalls, and contemplate the long history of Hadrian's Gate.

Istanbul to Antalya is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Istanbul in September: highs in Antalya hover around 36°C, while lows dip to 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) to allow time to drive to Kemer.

Situated on the Turkish Riviera, Kemer represents a coastal Mediterranean resort set against a dramatic mountainous backdrop.
On the 22nd (Wed), take in breathtaking views at Goynuk Canyon and then find something for the whole family at Dinopark Antalya. On your second day here, stroll through Chimaera, then explore the ancient world of Olympos Archeological Site, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Cirali Beach.

Drive from Antalya to Kemer in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In September, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) so you can fly back home.
