In a country so tied to its rhythms and melodies, Ibague proudly bears the title of "Musical City of Colombia." And it's earned it, too, with folk music festivals, bars with live traditional music, concert halls, and some of the most prestigious musical education institutions on the continent.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Mon): take in nature's colorful creations at San Jorge - Oficina Botanical Garden and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Hawai. Keep things going the next day: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral Primada de Ibague, take in breathtaking views at Combeima Canyon, and then don't miss a visit to Plaza de Bolivar.
