Thermopolis

— 6 nights
Thermopolis is the largest town in, and the county seat of Hot Springs County, Wyoming, United States. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at TePee Pools and Spa and Wind River Heritage Center. Get some historical perspective at Legend Rock Petroglyph Site and Sacajawea Cemetery. Get out of town with these interesting Thermopolis side-trips: Dubois (Wind River Flyfitter, Giant Jackalope Exxon Country Store, &more), Fremont County Pioneer Museum (in Lander) and Castle Gardens Petroglyph Site (in Riverton). There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Hot Springs County Museum, make a trip to Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site, examine the collection at Washakie Museum & Cultural Center, and stop by Storyteller.

For where to stay, other places to visit, ratings, and more tourist information, refer to the Thermopolis sightseeing planner.

Expect a daytime high around 76°F in July, and nighttime lows around 56°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
