One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.

Seoul is known for shopping, museums, and historic sites. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, get to know the fascinating history of Cheonggyecheon Stream, take a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village, and don't miss a visit to N Seoul Tower.

Male, Maldives to Seoul is an approximately 15-hour combination of ferry and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 4 hours traveling from Male to Seoul. Plan for much colder temperatures traveling from Male in December, with highs in Seoul at 3°C and lows at -5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Fri) to allow time to travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.

Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sat): enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach, then kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, and finally stroll around Yongdusan Park.

Traveling by flight from Seoul to Busan takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In December, Busan is a bit warmer than Seoul - with highs of 10°C and lows of 0°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can travel to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.

On the 6th (Sun), identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas.

You can fly from Busan to Jeju in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry. On the 7th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
