Center of Fun in the Smokies

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Bald River Falls and Dolly Parton Statue. Explore Pigeon Forge's surroundings by going to Vonore (Fort Loudoun State Park & Citico Wildlife Wilderness). There's much more to do: sample the fine beverages at Tennessee Legend Distillery - Winfield Dunn Parkway, stroll around Patriot Park, learn about winemaking at Eagle Springs Winery, and awaken your taste buds at Rocky Top Wine Trail.

Charlotte to Pigeon Forge is an approximately 4.5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or do a combination of bus and car. Expect a daytime high around 60°F in November, and nighttime lows around 39°F. You will have some time to spend on the 19th (Thu) before leaving for Gatlinburg.
