Osaka

— 3 nights
Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
Venture out of the city with trips to Tanizeno Tsuribashi (in Totsukawa-mura), Yoshino-cho (Kinpusenji Temple & Mt. Yoshino) and Koya-cho (Koyasan Daimon, Mt. Koya, &more). The adventure continues: admire the sheer force of Gyoja no Taki, get some fabulous bargains at Rinku Premium Outlets, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kashihara Jingu, and steep yourself in history at Ishibutai Tomb.
