Whangarei is the northernmost city in New Zealand and the regional capital of Northland Region. Kick off your visit on the 17th (Mon): wander the streets of Town Basin, take in the dramatic scenery at Whangarei Falls, and then don't miss a visit to Mount Parihaka War Memorial. On the 18th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: trek along Bream Head Coast Walks, enjoy the sand and surf at Ocean Beach, and then take in the awesome beauty at Mount Manaia Track.

Russell, formerly known as Kororāreka, was the first permanent European settlement and sea port in New Zealand. On the 19th (Wed), steep yourself in history at Pompallier Mission and Printery, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Christ Church, then indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, and finally do a tasting at Omata Estate. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 20th (Thu): examine the collection at Russell Museum, then steep yourself in history at Flagstaff Hill Historic Reserve, then stroll through Tapeka Point Track, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St Paul's Anglican Church.

Kerikeri, the largest town in Northland New Zealand, is a popular tourist destination about three hours drive north of Auckland, and 80 km north of the northern region's largest city, Whangarei. Kerikeri is known for nature, shopping, and wildlife.
