A city with character, Belfast remains a great place for a leisurely exploration, as it is still relatively undiscovered by foreign tourists, who usually opt to visit Dublin instead.
Explore hidden gems such as Streamvale Open Farm and Clip 'n Climb Dundonald. Kids will appreciate attractions like World of Owls and Carnfunnock Country Park. Next up on the itinerary: step into the grandiose world of Carrickfergus Castle, see the interesting displays at SS Nomadic, and get lost in a book at Glengormley Library.

To see traveler tips, more things to do, and other tourist information, read our Belfast trip app.

London to Belfast is an approximately 3.5- hour combination of train and flight. You can also do a combination of train, bus, and flight; or do a combination of train and ferry. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in June, and nighttime lows around 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Portrush.

Portrush

Portrush is a small seaside resort town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, on the County Londonderry border. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ballycastle Beach and Rathlin Island. Venture out of the city with trips to Derry (Walled city Londonderry, Bloody Sunday Memorial, &more) and The Puffin Gallery (in Ballycastle). And it doesn't end there: stroll through Giant's Causeway, take in the dramatic scenery at Dunseverick Falls, take a leisurely stroll along Ballintoy Harbour, and take a memorable drive along Causeway Coastal Route.

To find traveler tips, ratings, other places to visit, and other tourist information, read our Portrush journey tool.

Traveling by car from Belfast to Portrush takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In June, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
