Newcastle upon Tyne

Newcastle upon Tyne
One of the hippest urban centers in the northeastern part of the country, Newcastle upon Tyne once had a reputation for being an industrial wasteland with little to offer casual tourists.
Venture out of the city with trips to The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction (in Bowness-on-Windermere), Penrith (The Toffee Shop & Aira Force Waterfall) and Windermere (Climbing Tours, Cookhouse Gallery, & more). And it doesn't end there: wander the streets of The Quayside, steep yourself in history at Victoria Tunnel, explore the historical opulence of Alnwick Castle, and have fun at Never Give Up Newcastle.

If you are flying in from Cyprus, the closest major airports are Newcastle Airport, Durham Tees Valley Airport and Leeds Bradford Airport. In July in Newcastle upon Tyne, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 13°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sat) so you can travel back home.
