Mali's capital and the fastest-growing city in Africa, Bamako acts as a major port, as well as a cultural and industrial center.
Get some cultural insight at Musee National de Bamako and Cathedral of Bamako. Take a break from the city and head to Parc national du Mali, Bamako and Dandan waterfalls. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Bamako City Centre Market, get to know the resident critters at Zoo National du Mali, take in the spiritual surroundings of Yacouba Guindo Mosque, and appreciate the history behind Monument de l"Independance.
