Just west of Vilnius lies the lake resort and historical city of Trakai, famed for its fairy tale-like cityscape and the eclectic mix of communities that built it.
Step out of the city life by going to Kernave Mounds and Capitals Golf Club. Church of Nativity of Most Holy Mother of God and Trakai Orthodox Church will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with these side-trips from Trakai: Birstonas (Egles Sanatorija & The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua).
