Vilnius, Lithuania to Riga is an approximately 4-hour car ride. You can also fly; or take a bus. August in Riga sees daily highs of 26°C and lows of 16°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) so you can drive to Ventspils.

Ventspils is a town in northwestern Latvia in the historical Courland region of Latvia, and is the sixth largest city in the country. Kick off your visit on the 24th (Mon): examine the collection at Piejuras Brivdabas Muzejs, kick back and relax at Ventspils Beach, and then step into the grandiose world of The Castle of the Livonian order.
