As the largest city in the Canary Islands, Las Palmas serves as a popular vacation destination, encompassing lively island culture and all the modern amenities of a major metropolis.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Vegueta and Bodega San Juan - Museo del Vino. Venture out of the city with trips to Casa del Queso (in Guia) and Galdar (Casa-Museo Antonio Padron, Museo & Parque Arqueologico Cueva Pintada, &more). Fondly referred to as “El Sur” by the locals, Maspalomas serves as a hub of entertainment and beach activity on Gran Canary Island.
On the 20th (Sat), kick back and relax at Playa de Amadores, then visit a coastal fixture at El Faro de Maspalomas, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa de Maspalomas. Keep things going the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa de Mogan, then get engrossed in the history at Museo de Guayadeque, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Ermita de San Bartolome.
