Jodhpur is known for historic sites, shopping, and museums. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: contemplate the long history of Mehrangarh Fort, examine the collection at Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, don't miss a visit to Ghanta Ghar, and kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.

Ahmedabad to Jodhpur is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. August in Jodhpur sees daily highs of 92°F and lows of 79°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Jaisalmer.

Golden City of India

A World Heritage Site, the desert city of Jaisalmer has a number of historical attractions, buildings, and legends worthy of protection.
Spend the 18th (Wed) spotting exotic species with a safari tour. Spend the 19th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Jaisalmer Fort and stop by Shayama Cashmere Store.
