Itatiba

— 6 nights

Princess of the Hill

Since its founding in 1857, Itatiba developed into a city of more than 110,000 people, ranked among the top Brazilian cities in terms of quality of life.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Belem and Mega Tirolesa. Change things up with these side-trips from Itatiba: Igreja do Sagrado Coracao de Jesus (in Louveira), Companhia das Ervas (in Morungaba) and Casa da Cachaca (in Monte Alegre do Sul). There's lots more to do: get outside with Parque Luis Latorre (Parque da Juventude), stroll around Ferraz Costa Park, make a trip to Centro Cultural de Jaguariuna, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral Nossa Senhora do Amparo.

For maps, other places to visit, where to stay, and other tourist information, read Itatiba online trip itinerary planner.

If you are flying in from Sweden, the closest major aiports are Guarulhos - Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport, Congonhas Airport and Viracopos International Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 15°C.
