On the 4th (Mon), contemplate the long history of India Gate, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Humayun's Tomb, and then admire the natural beauty at Akshardham.

Pink City

Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Wed): look for gifts at Jaipur Blue Pottery Art Centre, then get a dose of the wild on Elefantastic, then step into the grandiose world of Amber Palace, and finally browse the exhibits of Jitesh Arts. On the 7th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the landmark architecture of Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, then look and learn at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, then take an in-depth tour of City Palace of Jaipur, and finally step into the grandiose world of Jal Mahal.

When traveling from Agra in January, plan for a bit warmer days in Jaipur, with highs around 26°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Jodhpur.
