Grapple with history and appreciate modernity in Hiroshima, a city known around the world for its tragic past and inspiring rebirth.
Step off the beaten path and head to Daishoin Temple and Senjokaku. Escape the urban bustle at Yunotsu Onsen and Mikasahama Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Hatsukaichi (Miyajima & Itsukushima Shrine), Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street (in Miyajima) and Oda (Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine & Kotogahama Beach). The adventure continues: explore the historical opulence of Hiroshima Castle, get engrossed in the history at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, get great views at Tenku Rice Terraces, and pause for some photo ops at Peace Bell.
