Birthplace of the Portuguese Nationality

The historical town of Guimarães was the birthplace of the first Portuguese king and served as the country's first capital.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sat): get to know the fascinating history of Centro Historico de Guimaraes, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Montanha- Parque da Penha, then admire the landmark architecture of Paco dos Duques de Braganca, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Largo da Oliveira.
