The Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains

Nestled in the lush, wooded forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s premier mountain resort destination.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Gatlinburg: River Rafting & Tubing (in Hartford) and Hen Wallow Water Falls (in Great Smoky Mountains National Park). There's still lots to do: observe the fascinating underwater world at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, get a taste of the local shopping with Fowler's Clay Works, take in the dramatic scenery at Ramsey Cascades, and get in on the family fun at Dollywood.

Land of the Sky

Asheville nestles between two major mountain ranges in the scenic western section of North Carolina.
Asheville is known for historic sites, nightlife, and museums. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: get a dose of the wild on Tumblestone Tours and Transportation, let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, go on a hair-raising tour with a ghost and vampire tour, and let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour.
