Crossed by the Tone River, the city of Funabashi draws visitors looking for retail therapy in its massive shopping mall.
Museum-lovers will get to explore The World Doll Museum and Ibaraki Nature Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and Kikkoman Soy Sauce Museum. Change things up with these side-trips from Funabashi: Super Dry Museum (in Moriya), Narita (Three-storied Pagoda & Naritasan Omote Sando) and Ushigeme Beach (in Kisarazu). Have a day of magic on the 8th (Sat) at Tokyo Disneyland.
