Where the West Begins

Advertising itself as the place where the American West begins, Fort Worth stubbornly clings to its cowboy roots, making it a distinctly different town from most other urban centers of its size.
Venture out of the city with trips to Waco (Dr Pepper Museum, Magnolia Market Silos, &more). There's lots more to do: get to know the fascinating history of Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, explore the world behind art at Kimbell Art Museum, see the interesting displays at Tandy Leather Museum & Gallery, and get to know the resident critters at Fort Worth Zoo.
