Once a sleepy little fishing village, Brighton is a modern seaside town known for its Asian architecture and a large gay community.
Your inner history buff will appreciate The Lanes and Royal Pavilion. Visiting Brighton Beach and Beachy Head will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Brighton side-trips: Eastbourne (Southern Head Fishing Co & Birling Gap) and The Crypt Gallery (in Seaford). There's much more to do: take a leisurely stroll along Brighton Pier, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Brighton Buddhist Centre, wander the streets of North Laine, and soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.

Battle is a small town and civil parish in the local government district of Rother in East Sussex, England. Visiting Camber Sands and East Sussex Falconry will get you outdoors. Bodiam Castle and Bateman's will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Battle side-trips: Pett Level Beach (in Hastings) and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (in Rye). And it doesn't end there: wander the streets of Old Town Hastings, look for gifts at St Leonards Central, witness the site of a historic battle at Battle Abbey and Battlefield, and practice your aim at 1066 Target Sports.
