Founded in 1929, Coyhaique is a young city--a baby by world standards--developed from humble agricultural origins to become the capital and main hub of the largely rural Aysen Region.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Coyhaique: Puerto Aisen (Cascada La Virgen & Presidente Ibanez Bridge) and Parque Aiken del Sur (in Puerto Chacabuco). And it doesn't end there: identify plant and animal life at Coyhaique National Reserve, look for gifts at La Bodeguita, take some stellar pictures from Piedra del Indio, and try your luck at Casino Dreams Coyhaique.

To find where to stay, maps, photos, and tourist information, go to the Coyhaique trip tool.

Use the Route module to find suitable travel options from your home destination to Coyhaique. Expect a daytime high around °C in April, and nighttime lows around °C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) to allow enough time to take a bus to Chile Chico.
