7 days in Cartagena Itinerary

The site of the continent's first Spanish colony, Cartagena retains much of its colonial flavor thanks to a World Heritage-listed old town, encircled by old walls and protected by imposing fortresses.

Step out of Cartagena to go to Isla Baru and see Playa Blanca, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. Spend the 8th (Fri) among aquatic life with a scuba or snorkeling tour. There's much more to do: step into the grandiose world of Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, don't miss a visit to Plaza Santo Domingo, steep yourself in history at Sanctuary of Saint Peter Claver, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Convent of Santa Cruz de la Popa.
