A charming historic town with many sacred sites cradled in a verdant valley, Paro offers a scenic base to explore the important Buddhist attractions and pristine nature around it.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sun): examine the collection at National Museum, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kyichu Lhakhang, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). On the next day, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ugyen Pema Woedling Zangthopelri, then cruise along Chele La Pass, then snap pictures at Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge, and finally contemplate the long history of Rinpung Dzong.

Mumbai, India to Paro is an approximately 10.5-hour combination of train and flight. You can also do a combination of bus and car; or do a combination of train, bus, and car. Traveling from Mumbai in May, things will get cooler in Paro: highs are around 26°C and lows about 14°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Punakha.
