Its reputation as a business-centric city distracts many visitors from the real draws of Antwerp: its historical sites, architectural beauty, and lively culture.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Tue): don't miss a visit to Ghent City Center, then explore the historical opulence of Gravensteen, then contemplate the long history of Saint Bavo's Cathedral, and finally don't miss a visit to St. Anna's Tunnel / Pedestrians' Tunnel. On the 26th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of Museum Plantin-Moretus, see the interesting displays at Rubens House (Rubenshuis), and then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Antwerp Zoo (Dierentuin).

To find other places to visit, more things to do, reviews, and tourist information, you can read our Antwerp trip planning site .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Brussels Airport, Antwerp International Airport (Deurne), Brussels South Charleroi Airport and Liège Airport. In February, plan for daily highs up to 44°F, and evening lows to 32°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Wed) so you can take a train to The Hague.

Known as the "judicial capital of the world," The Hague is the center for everything official in the Netherlands: the home of the Dutch government and parliament, the workplace of the King and Queen, and the base of many international affairs such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
Change things up with these side-trips from The Hague: Rotterdam (Euromast & Erasmus Bridge) and Keukenhof (in Lisse). Next up on the itinerary: admire the masterpieces at The Mauritshuis Royal Picture Gallery, laugh and play at Madurodam, see the interesting displays at Escher in Het Paleis (Escher in the Palace), and make a trip to Rotterdam Centraal Station.

To find reviews, traveler tips, and tourist information, use the The Hague journey builder website .

Getting from Antwerp to The Hague by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. February in The Hague sees daily highs of 46°F and lows of 36°F at night. You'll set off for home on the 2nd (Mon).
