You can drive from Bodrum City to Marmaris in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Traveling from Bodrum City in September, Marmaris is little chillier at night with lows of 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Oludeniz.

Famous for its big lagoon, Oludeniz acts like a magnet for mass tourism, featuring some of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean.

Famed for its landscape of unusually shaped stone formations and churches cut into the natural rocks, Goreme sits in the central part of the country, an area originally settled during Roman times.

Fly from Selcuk to Goreme in 7.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect slightly colder temperatures when traveling from Selcuk in October; daily highs in Goreme reach 24°C and lows reach 6°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Mon) to allow time to travel to Istanbul.

A physical and cultural bridge between Europe and Asia, the transcontinental city of Istanbul serves as a living reminder of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires.

Getting from Goreme to Istanbul by flight takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of bus and train. While traveling from Goreme, expect somewhat warmer days and much warmer nights in Istanbul, ranging from highs of 28°C to lows of 26°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) so you can go by car to Edirne.

Edirne is a city in the northwestern Turkish province of Edirne in the region of East Thrace, close to Turkey's borders with Greece and Bulgaria. Go for a jaunt from Edirne to Uzunkopru to see Uzunkopru (Ergene Koprusu) about 58 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: admire the landmark architecture of Selimiye Mosque, wander the streets of Karaagac, steep yourself in history at Beyazit II Mosque Complex, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Eski Cami.
