Most visitors take a trip to Magong to see Penghu's iconic landmark, the famed Tianhou Gong Mazu temple, honoring the Chinese sea goddess and dating back to the 16th century.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Penghu Tianhou Temple and Shanshui Beach. Traveling by car from Alishan to Nantou takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. Traveling from Alishan in March, expect nights in Nantou to be about the same, around 16°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 25°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 1st (Wed) early enough to travel to Kaohsiung.

A small trading town in the 17th century, Kaohsiung now stands as a sprawling metropolis, its harbor representing the largest on the island.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Martyrs' Shrine and National Cheng Kung University. Traveling from Nantou in April, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Kaohsiung, with lows around 26°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Hengchun.

Hengchun

Located on the southern tip of the eponymous peninsula, Hengchun serves as the entry point to Kenting National Park, often attracting more travelers than locals with its tropical beach resorts and bustling night markets.
Step off the beaten path and head to Maobitou Park and Nanwan Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Mudan (Shihmen Ancient Battle Field And Mudan Incident Memorial Park & Dong Yuan Shuei Shang Plain) and Fangliao Railway Art Village (in Fangliao).
