One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Nami Island (in Chuncheon), Yongin (Korean Folk Village, Everland, &more) and Cheongpyeong Lake (in Gapyeong-gun). Pack the 24th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. Pack the 5th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Seoul Children's Grand Park. There's still lots to do: get great views at N Seoul Tower, contemplate the long history of DMZ Haemaru Village, tour the pleasant surroundings at Changdeokgung Palace, and take a stroll through Bukchon Hanok Village.
