Seoul

— 59 nights
One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seoul: Paju (The Third Tunnel, DMZ Haemaru Village, &more), Nami Island (in Chuncheon) and Gapyeong-gun (The Garden of Morning Calm & Petite France). Pack the 4th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. Spend the 6th (Sat) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the long history of Gyeongbokgung Palace, admire the striking features of Changdeokgung Palace, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jongmyo Shrine, and shop like a local with Myeongdong Shopping Street.

To find reviews, where to stay, other places to visit, and other tourist information, you can read our Seoul tour planner.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Osan Air Base. In April in Seoul, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 9°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Thu) early enough to catch the flight back home.
