Seattle

Emerald City
Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.Change things up with these side-trips from Seattle: Olympic National Park (Hood Canal, Mount Ellinor, &more), Scenic Beach State Park (in Seabeck) and Tacoma (Griot's Garage, Washington State History Museum, &more). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Space Needle, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Seattle Aquarium, take an in-depth tour of Museum of History & Industry, and admire the masterpieces at Seattle Art Museum.
For other places to visit, more things to do, maps, and more tourist information, go to the Seattle journey planner.
If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Seattle Tacoma International Airport, Boeing Field King County International Airport, McChord Air Force Base and Jefferson County International Airport. In February, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
