Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Explore Hana's surroundings by going to Haleakala National Park (Haleakala Crater, Haleakala Sunrise Tours, &more), Kaumahina State Wayside Park (in Haiku) and Kipahulu (Charles Lindbergh's Grave, Palapala Ho'omau Church, &more). Spend the 16th (Sat) exploring the striking scenery along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. The adventure continues: admire the majestic nature at Wai'anapanapa State Park, get a taste of the local shopping with Hana Coast Gallery, appreciate the history behind Fagan's Cross, and explore the fascinating underground world of Hana Lava Tubes.

Salt Lake City to Hana is an approximately 11-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Salt Lake City to Hana. Traveling from Salt Lake City in January, expect Hana to be warmer, temps between 81°F and 63°F. You'll have a few hours on the 14th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Lahaina.

Crown Jewel of Maui

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Venture out of the city with trips to Kihei (Kealia Coastal Boardwalk, Maui's World Gallery, &more), Kahului (The Skyline Trail, Helicopter Tours, &more) and Wailea (Wailea Beach, Wailea Old Blue Course, &more). Drive from Hana to Lahaina in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and bus; or fly. In February, daily temperatures in Lahaina can reach 78°F, while at night they dip to 67°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.

The Valley Isle
