Ishigaki

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Step out of Ishigaki with an excursion to Canyoning & Rappelling Tours in Iriomote-jima--about 1h 55 min away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Kabira Bay, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, kick back and relax at Yonehara Beach, and take some stellar pictures from Cape Ongazaki.

Tel Aviv, Israel to Ishigaki is an approximately 21.5-hour flight. You'll lose 7 hours traveling from Tel Aviv to Ishigaki due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Tel Aviv in March, expect a bit warmer with lows of 21°C in Ishigaki. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Sat) so you can travel to Naha.

Capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom

Naha, the capital of Okinawa, has deep roots: Stone Age relics have been found in the city, and through the Middle Ages it rose in importance in the Ryukyu Kingdom.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Naha: Nanjo (Okinawa World Culture Kingdom Gyokusendo & Sefa-Utaki), Onna-son (Scuba & Snorkeling & Cape Manzamo) and Motobu-cho (Okinawa Memorial Park Ocean Expo Park, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, &more). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Shurijo Castle, see the interesting displays at Okinawa Prefecture Karate Museum, appreciate the history behind Heiwa no Ishiji, and relax in the rural setting at Aiai Farm.

Nagasaki

The hilly port city of Nagasaki has become known internationally as one of the two Japanese cities to be destroyed by an atomic bomb towards the close of World War II.
Explore Nagasaki's surroundings by going to Arita-cho (Akaeza & Arita Townscape), Huis Ten Bosch (in Sasebo) and Yusui Garden Shimeisou (in Shimabara). Next up on the itinerary: take an in-depth tour of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, head off the coast to Hashima Island, stroll around Nagao Castle Park, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. You can fly from Naha to Nagasaki in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. Traveling from Naha in April, things will get slightly colder in Nagasaki: highs are around 22°C and lows about 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) early enough to travel to Matsuyama.

Matsuyama features a number of historical sites and acts as a gateway for exploring the rest of Shikoku.
Get out of town with these interesting Matsuyama side-trips: Ozu (Sambaitani Falls & Iyo Ozu Sukunahikona Shrine), Izumidani Terraces (in Uchiko-cho) and Shikoku Karst Onogahara (in Seiyo). Traveling from Kyoto in May, expect nights in Kanazawa to be about the same, around 15°C, while days are little chillier, around 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Matsumoto.
